Education and Qualifications

  • Relevant professional qualification or qualified by experience to an equivalent level.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development

Experience and Knowledge

  • Track record in leadership and corporate responsibility in a fast paced and changing environment, tenacious in pursuing opportunities.
  • Experience of prioritising new business initiatives to ensure available resources are maximised.
  • Experience of strategic financial and risk appraisals for business opportunities.
  • Experience of business planning, strategic planning, setting objectives and effective monitoring of performance.
  • Experience of successfully developing multi-million-pound housing developments on time and to budget and an understanding of the management of a commercial contractor e.g. commercial acumen demonstrated within a working environment.
  • Experience that demonstrates the ability to lead sustainable organisational improvement and drive cultural change in a constantly evolving organisation.
  • Deep understanding of the external commercial and political environment in the sector and ability to translate that into action.
  • An understanding of asset management and maximisation within a building / construction environment.
  • Experience of developing a strong customer driven service culture.
  • Financial and commercial awareness and the ability to analyse complex information with clarity;
  • High level of skill in strategic and analytical thinking; ability to make critical decisions.
  • Well-developed understanding of the dynamics of business and financial management within a complex organisation.
  • An understanding of diversified tenure portfolio management and development of new tenure products in new areas
  • Proven experience of successful relationship management and developing external partnerships to enhance business opportunities.
  • Proven change management and project management expertise.
  • Experience of dealing with sales and marketing of house sales.
  • Significant experience in continuous improvement or business process re-engineering*
